To register for the Great Saunter, please activate or renew your membership first, then log in and go to the membership tab in your profile -select the Great Saunter Registration and click the Upgrade button at the bottom. You will receive an email confirmaion.
To edit your profile and contact info, add your second family member and select number of registrants, click on the "Edit/Edit Profile" button or the "Click Here to Edit Profile" link in your profile.

Individual Membership allows you to participate in any walk during your 1 year membership, including the Great Saunter.

On Saturday, May 5, 2012, Shorewalkers will hold its annual Great Saunter—a 32-mile walk around Manhattan’s rim.  The pace is steady, but not fast. Most of the route is fairly flat.  We keep to the waterside as much as possible.  We’ll go rain or shine and many of us will make it round, regardless of the weather.  We walk through more than twenty parks and promenades and touch dozens of communities and cultures.  Along the way are many points from which you can easily join the group or drop off and catch public transportation.

If you wish to upgrade your membership to a Family Membership and register 2 people for the Great Saunter, select Family Membership as an upgrade and you will be able to pay the difference.

**Please renew or activate your Shorewalkers Membership before selecting the Great Saunter Registration.  Once you have an active Individual Membership, just select the box for the Great Saunter and then click upgrade.

You will be automatically registered for free and will receive an email confirmation.

 

Year 2013 for Free.

Your family membership (for 2) allows registration for all hikes including the Great Saunter.

If you are registering for the Great Saunter!: Make sure you bring your receipt (invoices are available at the bottom of your membership tab) and your confirmation email. The pre-registration tables will be moving quickly!

Most of the route is fairly flat.  We keep to the waterside as much as possible.  We’ll go rain or shine and many of us will make it round, regardless of the weather.  We walk through more than twenty parks and promenades and touch dozens of communities and cultures.  Along the way are many points from which you can easily join the group or drop off and catch public transportation.
