Could the Harlem River Be the Next Venice?

The Grand Harlem River Park and Transportation Causeways

This park will consolidate a dozen disparate parks and playgrounds around the disused "Harlem River", combine them with a new 6-mile long, 250-acre salt-water strait formed from the existing water body to create a unique, waterfront, urban park---bigger than Central Park. Causeways at 126th St. and at Spuyten-Duyvil can become much-needed green-ways and transportation arteries.

The New York Times, New York Newsday, the Village Voice, NYC Friends of Clearwater, the Bronx News, the Riverdale Press, and Bronx Net are among the media that have covered the Grand Harlem River Park project so far. We expect more coverage, join us in publicizing the project and building the park.
